So Close

Collabor88 is absolutely amazing this month!  So many wonderful things to choose from!  Today's look includes shorts and sequined top by Tres Blah, skin and glasses by Glam Affair, and jewelry by Yummy.  All can be found at Collabor88.

Shoes are oldies but goodies from G Field, and with three strap options, they'll continue to be some of my most favorite shoes ever!  My hair is a lovely style from Truth named Portia.

The pose I'm using today was given to me by my friend Good Cross.... one he calls "So Close".  I can't locate it on his marketplace shop, but perhaps he'll put it up for sale one day...hint hint!  He is also the creator of the location for today's photo... a sim he designed and has opened up to the public called Megiddo.  It is chock full of photo opportunities with props and poses for use by visitors.  It's a wonderful place to explore and experience!

G Field & Amacci Gifts Galore!

I have some wonderful Halloween gifts to tell you about today!  First is this lovely black and purple gown from G Field!  It actually comes in two versions, the purple that I'm showing in the photos, and an orange version.  It comes complete with the spider choker.

I'm wearing three group gifts from Amacci. the skin, hair, and eyes!  The hair comes in several color variations to help you achieve just the right look.  The skin is a pale tone and features silvery makeup.  The eyes are a lovely shade of winter. :)

Photos were taken in front of a haunted house that I built along with my friend, Renaee Avindar as part of the Spooky Dreams/Building on the 1024 competition.  Voting is open and feel free to drop a few lindens into our sign.  Proceeds go to help keep the Dreams sim open and the monthly building contests going.

The Sea Hole @ Collabor88

This lovely sweater and pants ensemble I'm wearing is another great find at the latest edition of Collabor88.  I'm wearing The Sea Hole's Mister Trousers and Harvard Sweater.  There are lots of color combinations to choose from... I chose "Sherbert". :)

My jewelry is also a Collabor88 item...LaGyo's Mother's Pearl Earrings, Necklace, and Ring.  Clicking each item brings up a texture change menu that allows you to change textures for both the pearls and the metals.

I'm still wearing Glam Affair's Lilith from the previous post..... it went so well with this outfit I couldn't bear to take it off.  I added one of my favorite non-mesh hairstyles, Georgina from Truth and shoes from G Field.  I'm posing in a skybox I've just finished... been on a building kick lately. :)

Schadenfreude @ Collabor88

Major news...Collabor88 has moved to a new location AND the new collection is out for September! 

The new edition of Collabor88 opened yesterday and although I thought the last collection could never be topped, this one has proven me wrong.  It is simply fabulous!  Kudos to Collabor88 organizer, Drinkinstein Sorbet and all of the wonderful designers who created special items for us!

I'm wearing a fabulously vintage dress and coordinating stockings from Schadenfruede and jewelry from Maxi Gossamer.  I  LOVE the art deco feel of this look!

My skin is also a Collabor88 item... Glam Affair's Lilith.  I've heard a lot about this skin, and to wear it is to simply love it!

I added a straw hat from LaGyo and the lovely Noriko hair from Wasabi Pills.  My eyes are one of two group gifts from IKON, Kaleido Eyes Day.  If you want IKON's group gift, better hurry... it is only out until sometime Monday night!

If I Were Rich & Sassy

Last night I was in the mood for a hunt and decided to do the "If I Were Rich" hunt.  I took a quick look at the blog for hints and urls and off I went.  My first stop yielded this lovely shape from $10 Shapes... and I actually located the prize for another hunt while I was there. Yay!

My next stop was Sassy! and the prize was this gorgeous sky blue gown with lace inserts.  It is a mesh item and I was able to wear the small size with the new shape.... AND I found another hunt prize while searching for the "If I Were Rich" hunt item.  Double Yay!

I added D!va hair, the lovely Manon from Collabor88 that everyone is raving about, and Atomic's Grace skin that is available at The Dressing Room.  I found the lovely necklace and earrings on Marketplace from C&C for only $10L each.  I do love a bargain, especially a well-made bargain. :)

I flew over to HuMaNoiD to photograph my outfit and found a great spot behind the "Dance to the Music" door.  HuMaNoiD never disappoints. :)

Nylon Outfitters @ Collabor88

The new edition of Collabor88 is the best ever!  The theme is "Baroque" and the designers have simply outdone themselves!  Collabor88 is celebrating their first birthday and there are almost twice the number of vendors involved this time around!

This wonderful outfit from Nylon Outfitters caught my eye immediately!  I love the colors, the interesting combination of elements and textures.  Oh, and it's not mesh! (That's for all my friends who haven't quite embraced mesh yet, lol!)

I did some inventory diving and found the plum leggings from Slut and the G Field mesh boots (Gina in purple).

The Yummy Moonsung earrings and necklace, also available at Collabor88, fit in perfectly with the outfit.  My skin is Glam Affair's Roza BaroQ 03.  There are three versions of Rosa on display at Collabor88... I chose the third and added eyeshadow from Mons and lipgloss from luju. 

My hair is another gorgeous mesh style from Elikatira called "Found".  I'm wearing the Blonde 07 shade from the Essentials pack. 

I love this "baroque" look so much... I think I'll go play my harpsichord now. :)

Vintage Fair, faMESHed, and Collabor88 Mash Up

Today's look is brought to you by Vintage Fair, faMESHed, and Collabor88. 

First, my dress is a Vintage Fair find... GOTZSCHE Wear's Midnight Vanguard.  The sequined texture reminds me of modern art and is really quite eye catching.  My funky eyewear is also from GOTZSCHE Wear.  I love the exaggerated shape and the color goes well with this multi-colored dress.

My necklace and earrings are from the latest edition of faMESHed, Maxi Gossamer's Madrah set.  Clicking on each piece brings up a menu that allows you to change the texture.  There are fourteen textures to choose from!

My leggings are from the current edition of Collabor88 and are actually from an outfit that I plan to show you later... Nylon Outfitters' Baroque Bustle Mini.  If you've not been to the latest edition  of Collabor88 yet.... LIV-Glam @ Acid Lily Gallery

I received a notecard announcing that Acid Lily Gallery was new so I rushed over and quickly snapped up this lovely dress from LIV-Glam.  I love the texture and the cut of this dress... the sleeves are really well done!  This dress also comes with a texture change HUD and there are SEVEN different colors to choose from!

I added G Field's Alex Strap Shoes in Lime.... I just love lime green!  My nails are Izzie's Classic Nails and I'm wearing them in lime green as well. :)

My hair is a gorgeous style from Elikatira called Caramel.  I'm wearing Blonde 07 from the Essentials Collection.  It fits and moves with my avatar beautifully!  My skin is new from Al Vulo!, a very pretty skin called Julia.  I was delighted to find a set of mesh eyelashes included in the skin folder... the first set I've ever owned.  I found them very easy to adjust to fit my eyes and I'm a convert to mesh lashes now!

Fibromyalgia Awareness Day Fair

Fibromyalgia affects between 3 and 6 million Americans and approximately 90% of those affected are female.  It causes widespread muscle pain, fatigue, disrupted sleep, and a host of other unpleasant symptoms that wreak havoc on the lives of those it affects.  It is a chronic condition and there is no known cure.  I know it well...... it has been my constant companion for the past thirteen years. 

Saturday, May 12th is National Fibromyalgia Awareness Day and thanks to Second Life Resident Ariana Petrova, the day is being marked with events spread over three days, comprising the first Fibromyalgia Awareness Day Fair in SL.
